General Information
The 179 is Tokheim's basic gasoline control console. "Modular Electronic Merchandising System" (MEMS) is Tokheim's general designation for consoles and POSs.
The 184/185 console was Tokheim's first console designed to sell more than gasoline. The two models are essentially the same, the main difference is that the 185 includes department keys (twelve rows of two department keys to the right of the numeric keypad).
The illustration above shows a 185 console installed on a 190 printer base and with a cash drawer. Either the 184 or the 185 can be installed on the 190 base.
